End Of Build Season And Sacramento Regional

On February 21st, 2012, the robot was bagged at 11:43 pm. It weighed roughly 104.4 pounds. With build season over, we had a short three week period to manufacture team buttons and get the whole team CPR certified.

On March 15th, roughly fifteen team members drove down to U.C. Davis to prepare for the competition. On March 16th, the rest of the team, roughly forty members drove down to U.C. Davis. We ended up placing 48th out of 50.

On March 30th, the team will be driving to San Jose for another competition. Hopefully, we’ll place in the top ten.

Good luck to all other F.I.R.S.T teams out there!

Three days left!!

There are three days left of build season! Most of the team is at Larry’s shop working on transmissions and the payload. We hope that we can get a lot done and get the robot up and running.

Robotics Update #5

Happy end of the third week of build season! The robot is still being built, but we should finish it by the 4.5 week mark.

The parts for the robot should be arrive on Tuesday. Manufacturing is making a prototyping of the shooter. Programming has been working with the test bot, making sure the basic program works. CAD is polishing off the design. Presentation is waiting to go to Portola Systems, Inc. Media and Website finished the recruiting video, and it will be played at local middle schools.

The team chose the Titan theme, and it will be a black shirt. The robot will be silver, with white mist.
